I went to see Foster The People a couple of Sundays ago with good friend Dani and it was my first gig at the Anson Rooms venue (Bristol’s student union). (Do always remember to check that the venue isn’t surrounded by scaffolding thus making it easier to find.) But it is a good little venue. Slightly reminded me of a school sports hall. That’s not really a negative…or a positive…just a general observation.
And totes just used ‘thus’ in an actual sentence.
It was absolutely brilliant! The support act was a band called Zulu Winter which consisted of Proudlock (of Made In Chelsea), Dominic Cooper and two other members that don’t resemble reality drama “actors” or film stars. They were really good actually! Not like they wouldn’t be, but the support acts are usually just a shadow of the main act, and often purposefully. But they made their mark, and fair play to them. Then Foster The People came on…
Oh my days. I go to a large number of gigs and have come to this conclusion:
They should be exactly like their album…but 10 TIMES BETTER!
FTP were definitely that. So SO energetic. The lead singer had the funkiest dance moves ever, and they made sounds I didn’t think was possible…gah, I’m not sure what else to say so here’s some photos!
